"Rainbow Room' is the third offering from the band and is set to be released on August the 14th, 2020. Teaming up with Emily Bennett once again but this time bringing a calmer, sweeter sound that still remains wildly experimental in its nature.

Firetail's music spans from 70’s jazz-fusion, South Indian carnatic music and Melbourne's very own brand of jazz-tronica. Formed in 2018 as a collaborative recording project by bassist Jamie McElhinney the band has developed an ambient approach to song-writing that mixes bass heavy rhythms with evocative melodies and driving percussion.

Emily Bennett is led by narratives not predominantly voiced in music; those both banal and significant, portraying landscapes that bleed into the fictional and subjective. She has collaborated with choreographers, theater makers and journalists to construct works for live music performance that fuse sound design with composition and future directions in real-time improvisation.
